Barbara is a native German who had moved to Edinburgh, Scotland in her 20s. In August 2002 she moved to Spencerport, and there she opened ‘The Reiki Healing Center’ in August 2003.
Services offered were Reiki treatment and classes Reiki I, Reiki II, and Master/Teacher in ‘The Usui System of Natural Healing’, (Usui Shiki Ryoho). Workshops like “Introduction to Healing Energies” became very popular, a 6-week course on (Meditation, Chakras, Crystals, Dowsing, Angels and Reiki). Other therapies, like Massage, Aromatherapy oils, Homeopathy, Hypnotherapy, Reflexology, Nutritional Consultation, Kinesiology followed soon. Barbara is a Nikken and a Nature’s Sunshine Wellness Consultant and she holds workshops regularly as well as a Reiki Support Group and Reiki Master Teacher Meetings. In June the Center expanded when it joined up with ‘Dove Gift Store’ which offers a large variety of unique gifts e.g. crystals, candles, incense just to mention a few.
Barbara is a ‘Usui Shiki Ryoho’ Reiki Master/Teacher RMT, ICRT and Karuna Reiki Master RMT, ICRT Teacher. She teaches all Reiki and Karuna Reiki from Level I to ART Master/Teacher. Her classes can be booked directly with ‘The Reiki Healing Center’ or Natures’s Wisdom’s ‘New Life Learning Institue’. Barbara studied and was attuned to Reiki level I, II and Master/Teacher by Elspeth Walker, Edinburgh, Scotland who taught Barbara mainly the Hawayo Takata, Western version of Reiki.
Seeing the difference it can make to peoples’ lives Barbara felt compelled to go further in her studies. She attended classes of Walid Ghoneim a Egyptian Reiki Master in Edinburgh. He took her back to the original roots of Reiki, and with his vast knowledge of Reiki history, method and experience he furthered Barbara greatly.
Barbara was trained and attuned to Karuna Reiki Master/Teacher by William Rand the founder of Karuna Reiki, who is also president and founder of ‘The International Center for Reiki Training’, ICRT. The attunement was in Glastonbury and Stonehenge, England. Barbara is certified and teaches to their standards.
Barbara’s passion is healing and helping people on their path to wellness.
