Marty Nightengale
Marty is a Buffalo born singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer, who can playa multitude of instruments. He began playing at various coffee houses and bars around Western New York at a young age, years later landing singer/lead guitar spots in Sudden Urge and then one of Buffalo's longest running bands, Only Humen. He then used his decade worth of private instruction to begin teaching guitar and bass at The Music Exchange.
In the six-month break from playing out, Marty assembled the members for his Brainchild, Acoustic Fusion. His band consists of Buffalo Hall of Fame drummer Jerry Augustyniak, from the 10,000 Maniacs, Tom Mangione, award winning bassist, Sudden and Urge, and Marty is lead.vocals and guitar: NigbtengaIe also plays Iead guitar and vocals for Buffalo Rising, which features the members of Acoustic Fusion with the vocal talents of Maria Sebastian. Both bands cover a wide variety of musical styles including: rock, blues, country, funk, and pop Marty's main influences consist of Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Mayer, Jeff Buckley, Soulive, .and Aerosmith. His guitar and vocal abilities mesh these musical styles into his own, and help form the foundation of the various demos Marty has been producing over the past years. When he's not playing bars and clubs Marty can be found teaching at Pro Music Lessons and producing music with local musicians in his home studio in West Seneca.
